Discover. Connect. Serve. What a Weekend!
Our Ministry Fair brought our parish together and reminded us that there is a place for everyone at St. Andrew the Apostle.
What happens when wonderful parishioners, dedicated volunteers, the Knights of Columbus and a valued community partner like Delta Bingo & Gaming come together? Wonderful things happen!
Our St. Andrew the Apostle Ministry Fair, held October 17 and 18, was a tremendous success. The parish hall was filled with parishioners discovering the many ways they can become more involved, meet others and share their God-given gifts.
The weekend also gave us an opportunity to recognize the important contribution of Delta Bingo & Gaming.

Locally, the Charitable Gaming Association of Sudbury reports that charitable gaming provides more than $3 million each year to over 100 local charitable organizations, directly benefiting programs throughout our community. [sudburygaming.com]
At St. Andrew the Apostle, we see that impact firsthand. Through our participation in charitable gaming, our parish received more than $21,000 in 2025, according to our parish records, helping support the good work carried out through our parish and ministries.
And none of it happens without one very important ingredient...Volunteers!
There Is a Place for YOU!
Our Ministry Fair was inspired by the words of St. Peter: "Each should use whatever gift received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” [1 Peter 4:10]

Our parish is growing and wonderfully multicultural, and every person brings something unique to our parish family.
You don't need special qualifications. You don't need endless spare time. And don't worry, nobody was hiding behind the displays with a lifetime volunteer contract!
All you need is a willingness to help.
Whether it's an hour here and there, participation in a ministry, helping at an event or sharing a particular talent, every contribution matters.
And the Fair produced one result we're especially pleased to celebrate: six new volunteers stepped forward to join our Parish Bingo Ministry! Those six new volunteers will help us continue
our participation in charitable gaming and the financial support it provides to our parish.
Good Friends, Good Conversation...and Refreshments!
Of course, a successful parish gathering also requires a little hospitality! Our Knights of Columbus Council 6074 hosted the refreshments throughout the Fair, giving everyone an opportunity to stop, visit, ask questions and spend some time together.
Our sincere thanks go to the Knights, our ministry leaders and volunteers, everyone who helped organize the Fair, and especially every parishioner who came through the doors.

The Photos and Video Tell the Rest
Take a few moments to enjoy the photographs and video from our Ministry Fair. They really do tell the story. The weekend wasn't simply about filling vacancies on volunteer lists. It was about strengthening our parish community, meeting one another and carrying forward the remarkable work that our ministries, volunteers and Knights of Columbus have been doing for so many years.
And if you missed the Ministry Fair? You haven't missed your chance! There is still a place for you.

Bring your talents, your ideas, a little of your time, or simply ask: “How can I help?”
You might make new friends. You might discover a gift you didn't realize you had. And you will certainly become part of something worthwhile. Your gifts matter. Your time matters. You matter.
Come. Connect. Serve. Belong.
